Service Desk (First-Level Support)
The service desk of the Leipzig University Computer Centre (URZ) is the central contact point for all enquiries concerning the services offered by the URZ. Thus, the service desk acts as a link between the users and the specialist departments of the URZ. Enquiries that cannot be answered conclusively immediately are recorded in the service desk and forwarded to the respective specialist departments of the URZ and answered by them.
OUR SERVICE FOR YOU
The service offers users:
- initial advice, as well as solutions to questions and problems concerning the services of the URZ
- Forwarding to the relevant specialist department
- Inquiry about the processing status via the assigned ticket number
- Acceptance of fault reports and service requests via e-mail, contact form, telephone or in person at the service desk.
- Information on current malfunctions and maintenance work at the URZ
- Support in setting up WLAN and VPN
- Help with activating the Uni-Login

REQUIREMENTS
Delimitation
The “Service Desk” service does not include:

Service enquiries about services provided by the Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital.

Enquiries about applications, tuition fees, re-registration, as well as official certificates (please contact the Student Service Centre of the University of Leipzig)

Enquiries about the course catalogue, module enrolment and examination matters (please contact the relevant study coordination in your faculty).
