The URZ's own research profile is oriented towards the core competencies as well as the technical, organisational and strategic problems of the University Computing Centre.

IT security

The University Computer Centre stands for IT security. In addition to the extensive measures to secure the IT infrastructure, such as firewalls and encrypted data transmission, further protective measures are implemented in coordination with the IT Security Officer of the University of Leipzig.
